Q1. Where are you based?

Answer: We are headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan, and have a sales office in the UK.

Q2. Do you offer any remote jobs?

Answer: Most of our job roles allow remote work with a fixed schedule. However, some positions may require on-site or hybrid availability depending upon the job requirements. Read more.

Q3. What are your official working hours?

Answer: Our official working hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM (GMT +5 Karachi/Islamabad), Monday to Friday. Employees in our consulting division are allowed flexible timings to collaborate with the international clients in different time zones.

Q1. What is Crownstone’s business model?

Answer: Crownstone Global is an operating holding company. As the parent company, we directly manage each of our group’s business ventures, inject capital into them, and take on all the risk instead of merely holding investments for profit. This gives us control over core operations and allows us to focus on building sustainable, long-term businesses in emerging markets.

Answer: Our primary business is consulting services and software solutions. In the last few years, we have also expanded into the e-commerce and agritech sectors.

Q3. Is Crownstone Global backed by any investors?

Answer: No. We have been a 100% bootstrapped and profitable company.

Q4. What is Crownstone Consulting Services?

Answer: Crownstone Consulting Services (also known as ‘CCS’) is the dedicated management consulting and professional services division of Crownstone Global. It offers advisory and implementation services related to AI, digital transformation, operational excellence, and commercial strategy to clients worldwide. Visit CCS.

Q5. What is Software Products Division (SPD)?

Answer: As the name says, Software Products Division (SPD) is our internal, dedicated business division engaged in the design, development, and global sales of niche and industry-specific commercial software and AI products. Read more details here.

Q6. What does Ecommerce Logics do?

Answer: Ecommerce Logics is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Crownstone Global (Pvt) Ltd. It manages a small but profitable portfolio of niche, e-commerce brands across diverse product categories.

Answer: Agrovia Technologies is our newest venture that focuses on delivering sustainable farming technologies and smart agricultural solutions, backed by a solid combination of family agribusiness experience and digital transformation expertise.

Q1. What is the work culture like at Crownstone?

Answer: Our work culture is collaborative, inclusive, and built on our company’s core values. We prioritize employee well-being and maintain an environment that supports work-life balance, continuous learning, and professional growth.

Q2. How do teams work together across divisions?

Answer: We have unified our critical back-office teams, such as HR, finance, marketing, and sales, under the IBS Division, which provides shared services and support to our internal business units and subsidiaries. Additionally, all divisions and subsidiaries maintain open communication to provide or seek expertise when required.

Q3. What is leadership’s approach to feedback?

Answer: Feedback is two-way. We conduct regular performance dialogues where both managers and employees exchange constructive feedback.

Answer: Success is celebrated both formally through recognition programs and informally through team events and shoutouts.

Q2. Can I apply for more than one job at a time?

Answer: You can, but it’s recommended that you apply to only those jobs where you think your chances of getting shortlisted for an interview are high.

Q3. Is there a specific time of year when most hiring takes place?

Answer: While hiring at Crownstone occurs year-round, it’s often high at the beginning and middle of the year.

Q4. Do you offer paid internships?

Answer:  Yes. We run a summer internship program that recruits new interns in our company. Every year, we review our program and decide the number of interns we can intake. Internship opportunities are posted on our job openings page.

Q5. What academic qualifications are required for entry-level positions?

Answer: Entry-level positions typically require a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Most of the entry-level candidates either have a bachelor’s degree or an MBA or master’s with some internship experience. We even consider a diploma if the applicant has exceptional skills, industry knowledge, or achievements.

Q6. How long does the hiring process usually take?

Answer: Our hiring process can take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the position and number of applicants.

Q1. How do I apply for a job at Crownstone Global?

Answer: Visit our job openings page, open a job you wish to apply to, and submit the application form once you have gone through the job description. Please note that you must fill out all the required fields to submit the application form.

Q2. What documents are required for the job application?

Answer: We only ask for your updated resume/CV in a PDF format to be uploaded to your job application.

Q3. Can I apply through a recruitment agency?

Answer: No. We have our in-house recruitment team and do not accept any applications through external recruiters. So, always apply directly through our official website.

Q4. Is there a deadline for job applications?

Answer: Yes. All published jobs have a specific deadline mentioned on the same post.

Q5. How can I know the status of my application?

Answer: If you do not hear back from us after ten (10) days from your application submission date, you can contact us to find out the status of your application. Mention the application ID provided to you in the confirmation email.

Q6. Can I update my application after submitting it?

Answer: Unfortunately, no. However, you can submit a new application with updated details and send us a request that we ignore your previous submission by providing the old application ID.

Q7. What if I don’t meet all the qualifications in the job description?

Answer: We encourage you to still apply even if you meet 70-80% of the qualifications and believe you can contribute to the role through upskilling and training on the job.

Q8. Will I receive a confirmation after submitting my application?

Answer: Yes, you will receive an email confirmation with a unique application ID after you have applied for a job.

Q9. Do I get a reason why my application was not shortlisted?

Answer: While we try to provide general feedback to all the applicants, due to the high volume of applications we receive, we currently do not give specific reasons for each application not being shortlisted.

Q10. Can I reapply for a position if I was not selected previously?

Answer: Yes, you can reapply for the same or different positions in the future if your skills and experience meet the eligibility.

Q11. Where else does Crownstone post its jobs?

Answer: We publish and promote our jobs across multiple online channels such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and other reputable hiring platforms. However, all job posts require applications to be submitted only via our official website.

Q13. I have a reference. Where do I mention it?

Answer: If you are referred to a job by a Crownstone employee, mention their name and employee ID in the provided field on the application form. This will help that employee qualify for a referral bonus if you are hired for the job role. Please note that having a referral does not guarantee a job. All applicants must pass each stage of the interview to get hired.

Q14. Can existing Crownstone employees also apply?

Answer: Yes. Existing Crownstone employees can express their interest in a job and must go through the same process as all the external applicants. No special relaxation, preference, or waiver is given to any current employee or an external applicant.

Q15. Do I have to pay to apply for a job?

Answer: Never. We will never ask candidates to process any payment to apply for a job. We are aware of employment scams involving fake job postings or false offers of Crownstone employment. Please always directly apply through our official website (https://www.crownstoneglobal.com/careers/jobs) and report any fake job postings to us immediately.

Q1. How many interview rounds take place?

Answer: There are three rounds in our hiring process:

  • Screening: If your application is shortlisted, we will contact you for an initial phone screening.
  • Skills Test: This is followed by an invitation to appear for a technical skills test (required for most job roles).
  • Case Interview: If you have applied for a consulting role, you will alternatively be invited for a live case interview.
  • Culture Fit Assessment: This is the last round after which the decision to hire the most suitable candidates is made

Q2. What is the initial phone screening?

Answer: We will contact you to confirm details about you, your experience, and the qualifications you’ve provided on your resume/CV. This screening usually doesn’t involve any technical questions regarding the job.

Q3. What is a skills test?

Answer: For most job roles, a skills test is a critical component to assess a candidate’s domain knowledge and expertise. This is usually an online 1-1 test where the interviewer will ask technical questions related to the role you’ve applied for and will ask you to share your screen and perform a short task. For some senior positions, we may exclude a skills test.

Q4. What is a case interview?

Answer: If you have applied to a consulting role at CCS division, you will be invited for a live case interview. You will be given a case study that simulates a real-world challenge faced by our consulting teams, to demonstrate your analytical skills, business knowledge, communication style, and technical skills required for the job role. While this type of interview might be new to you, there’s a good chance you’ll succeed if you can understand the problem well, critically analyze it, and draw logical conclusions from your analysis.

Q5. What is a culture fit assessment?

Answer: This is the final interview round where we assess if you are a good fit for the role. We will ask questions about your strengths, weaknesses, preferences, career plans, etc. This is a chance to show your true personality and make your finest impression. Pro tips: be honest, be confident, and just be yourself.

Q6. How long does each interview last?

Answer: There’s no fixed time limit. An initial phone screening with our recruiter is usually a 10-minute phone call. The skills test or a case interview might last 45 to 60 minutes, and the culture fit assessment could be another 60 minutes.

Q7. Who will be interviewing me?

Answer: A recruiter from our team will conduct your initial phone screening. While the rest of the interviews (skills test, case interview and culture fit assessment) will be conducted by a panel of senior employees. We do not reveal the names of our interview panel members upfront.

Q8. Are the interviews conducted on-site or online?

Answer: Usually, all interviews are conducted online using Microsoft Teams or Zoom, unless we specifically ask for an on-site meeting. We have an open-camera policy so please ensure your internet, webcam, and microphone are working properly before the start of your interview.

Q9. How soon will I hear back after my interview?

Answer: We usually provide feedback within ten (10) days after your interview.

Q10. What should I do if I need to reschedule my interview?

Answer: If you need to reschedule your upcoming interview, immediately contact us to arrange a new time slot. Due to time constraints, we do not allow last-minute rescheduling. Shortlisted candidates who do not show up are automatically disqualified.

Q11. What’s the next step if I’m selected for a job?

Answer: After completing all the interview stages, if you are selected for a job, we will reach out to you to ask for a few identity details and formally email you an offer letter that you have to review, sign, and submit within seven (07) days from the date the offer is made. This offer letter includes all the details regarding your job role, employment terms, salary, benefits, and other important information. Signing this offer letter means you have formally accepted to work at Crownstone Global.

Q12. What happens if I don’t sign the offer letter within 7 days?

Answer: We will follow up with you during the seven days to assist you with any questions or clarifications. If you do not submit the offer letter within this duration, we consider that you have turned down our offer or no longer interested. In that case, we formally send you an email to inform you and roll out the offer to the next shortlisted candidate for the job role.

Q13. What’s the next step after I accept the offer letter?

Answer: Once you accept the offer letter, we will email you a formal appointment letter confirming your employment status with our company. The email will also provide details regarding your first day at work and onboarding.

Q1. What is the onboarding process like?

Answer: On your first day of joining, a representative from our People & Culture (P&C) team will give you a detailed overview of our company and policies. You would be then introduced to your manager to help you integrate smoothly with your new team. During the first month, your manager will guide and support you on different processes, tasks, or projects, and may refer you to an internal training program to cover any skill gaps that you may have.

Q2. How long is the onboarding process?

Answer: Our onboarding process typically lasts for the first 30 to 45 days of employment.

Q3. Are there any resources available for new hires?

Answer: Yes. All new employees get access to our internal PMS platform which has a dedicated onboarding portal and a comprehensive knowledge hub with resources, guides, and relevant information for support.

Q4. How do I get access to internal systems and tools?

Answer: On your first day of joining, you will receive access to your official email address, PMS account, and other relevant tools or systems as advised by your manager.

Q5. Do I have to sign any paperwork on my first day of joining?

Answer: While our P&C team ensures all paperwork is completed before your onboarding, there could be a possibility some additional information is needed. We will inform you in advance to submit those documents on your first day if required.

Remote Work

Q1. Is remote work allowed for all employees?

Answer: Most employees are allowed a 100% remote work option. However, some client-facing or operations-specific positions may require hybrid work or on-site presence depending on the nature of the job.

Answer: We use an enterprise-grade business management suite (PMS) and Microsoft Teams to ensure seamless remote communication and collaboration. Learn more.

Q3. Are remote employees eligible for the same benefits as on-site employees?

Answer: Yes, remote employees receive the same benefits.

Q4. Is there flexibility in working hours?

Answer: Unfortunately, no. Employees are required to work during our official working hours. Only employees in our CCS division are allowed a flexible schedule to align with international clients in different time zones.

Q5. Are home office setups supported financially?

Answer: Yes, we have a reimbursement policy for home office setups. Reimbursement is approved upon the employee’s request after review.

Q1. What career development opportunities are available?

Q2. How soon are promotions given?

Answer: It depends on an individual’s performance and many other factors to get a promotion. For some positions, a certain duration is required to be served in a particular role, while some require specific experience and skills to become eligible. Our structured performance and evaluation system enables our People & Culture (P&C) team to conduct regular performance reviews and share findings with the senior management for such decisions.

Q3. How is an employee’s performance assessed?

Answer: All employees, regardless of their roles, have certain KPIs and goals to meet. These factors are regularly reviewed every quarter using our performance monitoring tools. Employees lacking in some areas are supported by their managers to cover gaps and meet those goals. The objective of performance monitoring is to provide guidance to our employees and assist them in working on their strengths and weaknesses.

Q4. Can I move between divisions during my career?

Answer: Yes, internal transfers across business divisions and departments are allowed to help employees broaden their skills and experience. However, it is subject to the approval of the respective line manager and the People & Culture department.

Q5. I’m doing a master’s degree. Can I still work while I study?

Answer: Of course, you can. We offer work-study flexibility to all employees, and in some cases, we might also financially support employees pursuing relevant professional qualifications.
